Natalie Baird has more than a decade of family law experience. She has litigated hundreds of Family Law matters during her career, including highly contested divorces and other family law cases involving time-sharing, equitable distribution, alimony, and child support.
Natalie has been recognized by her clients and peers as a leader in family law. The Family Law Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association recently recognized Natalie with the Ted Millison Professionalism Award, which is given annually to one attorney each year that exhibits the highest level of ethical and professional practice. This is a high honor because divorce and family law cases are often highly contested.
Natalie has also received several awards in connection with her work for victims of domestic violence. In 2011, Natalie received the Making A Difference Award from the Florida Bar and the Achievement Award from Hillsborough County Domestic Violence Task Force. In 2010, Natalie received the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award from the Hillsborough County Bar Association.
Natalie was also recognized as a 2013 Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine.
Natalie is a member of the Collaborative Divorce Institute of Tampa Bay. She is a past president of Are You Safe, Inc. And, she is an active member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.
Natalie is a frequent speaker and presenter on family law topics, covering topics such as intentional tort claims, litigation strategy, cyber stalking, trial advocacy, and mediating cases involving domestic violence.
Natalie is experienced in mediation and family law. She uses her experience and knowledge to assist the parties in creating an agreement that is specifically tailored to the needs of their own family.
Natalie is an advocate for mediation, especially in family law cases. Mediation allows both parties an opportunity to make their own decisions for their family and future, rather than leaving the decision to the Family Court judge.
Natalie also supports mediation because it is a confidential process that gives parties who disagree on issues in their family law case help in reaching an agreement by a neutral and impartial person trained in problem solving.
Family law mediation also provides the parties with a level of control over the outcome that is not possible once the case goes to trial. And, mediation is typically a faster and more efficient way to resolve a divorce or other family law case.
Natalie works to understand the needs and concerns of the parties. She prides herself on remaining impartial in all cases. Natalie approaches every mediation with the goal of avoiding the need for lengthy litigation. Natalie's family law experience has taught her that, in most cases, with complicated circumstances and emotions at play, there truly are no winners. Natalie simply tries to help parties find the best solutions for a difficult transition.
